Youssouf Mahamoud Moumine, was born in Mbeni Hamahamet, Comores where he studied the memorization of the quran.
A former teacher at the Alif Laam Meem institute (2001-2002) he excelled in his ability to effectively teach his
students, giving them the necessary tools to progress in there memorization. He then moved
to become the teacher of the Islamic studies and Quran at the Ottawa Islamic School (2002-2005). He taught
at Al-Furqan school in 2006.
Youssouf Mahamoud has now established the Al-Arqam school, dedicated to the
memorization and recitation of the Quran. Youssouf has continued to be a prominent member of
Ottawa's Muslim community, organizing various summer camps and youth oriented activities for the past
six years,needless to say his presence and perseverance has been felt in the Muslim community of Ottawa
.While continuing to teach youssuuf has also devoted his time to recruiting and
training other students of knowledge to become qualified to preform the vital role of teaching
the word of Allah.
